treating providers directly for clinical updates and prognosis for a more accurate calculation of projected health care costs as related
to the specific deductible.
This process provides more timely and
accurate, detailed information than the attending physician
statement alone. A HIPAA compliant consent for release
of information is required by the treating providers to discuss the
patient's condition and prognosis.
